Assembly & Test Technical Support Co-op

Supported production of PW300 engines, providing solutions to resolve engine test and assembly issues and support high quality of service in a high-value, low-volume aerospace production environment.

• Investigated production and test issues involving secondary air, oil, rotordynamics, fuel systems and engine performance.
• Reviewed engineering drawings, GD&T information and CMM measurement reports to support production decisions.
• Developed assembly and test instructions and supported process-improvement initiatives.
• Analyzed production and test data to investigate technical issues, identify trends and support corrective actions.
• Developed Excel/VBA tools to automate recurring analysis and tracking work; one tool reduced a recurring data-preparation process from about 20 minutes to about one minute.
• Worked with engineering, quality and production stakeholders to investigate root causes, develop recommendations and follow up on solutions.
• Presented findings and led discussions in cross-functional meetings.

Also completed Canadian Controlled Goods requirements/clearance for the role.

Designing and testing components of a 15-foot unmanned aircraft for the SAE Aero Design competition. Current work includes optimizing the previous year's design, improving analysis and simulation software, and developing physical test equipment.

Earlier work included 3D modelling and manufacturing of fuselage sections and troubleshooting and repairs during competition.

Education Outreach Facilitator

Developed and facilitated inclusive STEM workshops for youth aged 3–17, managing logistics for groups of up to 50 participants and adapting activities in real time to keep individuals and groups engaged.
